Henry Shapiro & Swing Fever, a five-piece combo, draws from the rich spectrum of American popular jazz, performing early jazz songs and instrumental pieces from Dixieland through the Big Band era. Playing in a number of styles, the band revives the lively sounds of Benny Goodman's Sextet, Louis Armstrong's Hot Five, and Louis Jordan's Tympany Five. Swing Fever's repertoire ranges from Fats Waller to Duke Ellington, from George Gershwin to Nat "King" Cole.
Together for over ten years, members of Swing Fever bring a wealth of playing experience and knowledge to the music, having toured the world with artists such as Woody Herman, Bobby Rydell, and Buddy Rich.
