In 2007, Sharon Rae and her band were invited to perform at the 2007 Martin Luther King Jr. Salute to Greatness Afterglow Reception. She opened for PATTI LABELLE at the October 2006 Bayfest Music Festival in Mobile, Alabama. In February 2006 she was extended an unsolicited invitation from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Non-Violent Social Change to perform at a memorial honoring Mrs. Coretta Scott King. She's also received a number of other national and international invitations.
